WHAT
HAPPENS IN A THERAPY SESSION?
At
the start of your session, the therapist will ask some
simple questions about your health.
For Reiki, you just need to remove your
shoes, for Reflexology your shoes and socks.
Massage can be given with your clothes on, but results are
better if you remove your top. For counselling and
homeopathy, no undressing is needed.
All our therapists are professionally qualified and very
experienced.
After the session, drink extra water to help bring your
body into balance and de-tox.
WHICH
THERAPIES ARE AVAILABLE?
AROMATHERAPY
works with the pure properties of plants, using their
essential oils in a natural, complementary therapy to help
improve both physical and emotional well being.
Aromatherapy oils can be used in a variety of ways, most
often by massaging into the skin to allow body and mind to
absorb their benefits.

AYURVEDIC
MASSAGE uses traditional herbal oils from India. It
works on both the physical and mental levels,
transmitting a life-giving energy that assists all
systems of the body to repair and renew themselves, by
working on Marma points. Different treatments are
available, some using medicated powder and warm oil.

COUNSELLING
offers a private, confidential place to explore issues
or problems with a trained, qualified professional. A
counsellor offers the chance to discuss difficulties
and express feelings openly, in a way that may be
difficult with friends or family. Counselling can help
people see things more clearly and enable them to make
choices or changes.

DEEP TISSUE
MASSAGE is usually applied to large muscle groups,
working more deeply into the tissues and muscles to
help promote relaxation of tight muscles, increasing
circulation and nutrition to the muscles, tendons and
ligaments. It targets painful trouble spots where help
is needed to release tension.

HOMEOPATHY
is a complete system of healing, established for over
two hundred years. It supports the body’s own healing
processes, using safe, gentle effective remedies which
are tailored to each individual. Homeopathic remedies
can safely be taken alongside any prescribed medicines
and have helped people suffering from all kinds of
health problems.

INDIAN HEAD
MASSAGE is based on the ancient wisdom of traditional
Indian Ayurvedic healing. The face, scalp and upper body
are massaged using a range of techniques to help ease away
tension, stress, fatigue and aches & pains. Healing
oils are usually applied, though this treatment can also be
performed through clothes.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE aims to encourage the flow of
lymph throughout the body, reducing tiredness and fatigue
by removing toxins and boosting the immune system. The
lymphatic system drains fluid from tissue spaces, cells and
blood, cleans it up and returns it to the blood circulatory
system.

PHYSIOTHERAPY offers treatments for all types of muscle, bone and joint problems, including spinal and peripheral joint mobilisations, with the aim of eaing pain and increasing mobility.

REFLEXOLOGY
sees the feet as a mirror of the body, with particular
reflex points on the foot linked to different parts of
the body. The therapist gives a relaxing foot massage
then presses on specific zones of the foot to
stimulate the body’s own healing of imbalances in the
system linked to disease, disturbance to health or
distress.

REIKI
(pronounced Ray-key) is Japanese word meaning
‘universal life energy’. This powerful healing
technique has ancient origins and was rediscovered in
the late 19th century by Dr Mikao Usui. The client
lies on a treatment couch while the Reiki practitioner
places their hands in a series of positions along the
body to channel energy according to the person’s
needs.

YOGA
THERAPY is a traditional discipline rooted in India’s
earliest history. Each individual is offered a
programme including posture work, breathing, voice
work and meditation to work on at home. It is very
helpful for working on specific areas of the body and
improving breathing.
